Overview


The road to Chitwan is long and bumpy! How better to avoid this than traveling by water?! On this combi-trip you raft to Chitwan, avoiding a long part of that road. Lower Seti is the perfect river for beginners and families and gives you a good introduction to white water rafting. It is a small and relatively warm river, making it nice for jumping in the water and floating with the stream. The river runs through beautiful nature, from green rice paddies, waterfalls, jungle and beaches to small local villages. During this tro day trip you camp on the riverside. De second day you arrive in Chitwan, where your jungle safari begins.

Day to Day


Day 01/02 - Lower Seti rafting

You leave early in the morning from Pokhara to the drop-in point at Damauli. Here the guides will do preparations en give you comprehensive safety instructions. Je learn a little bit about paddling techniques before you go down the first rapid. There is plenty of time to swim. You overnight in a tent on the riverside beach. The next day will be a bit more exciting, with bigger rapids, but you will still have some time for swimming and to enjoy the nature. From the finishing point it is about two hours to reach Chitwan.


Day 02 - Chitwan: cultural Tharu program

You arrive in the afternoon in Chitwan, where you will start with a nice lunch. Later in the afternoon you can get a tour through the Tharu village, where you can learn more about the Tharu lifestyle and culture. Je can also visit the visitorcentre for more information about the history of the park and the wildlife. After dinner there is a Tharu cultural dance programm.
