Bardia National Park lies in the west of Nepal. It is the largest and most undisturbed national park in Nepal and lies close to the Karnali river. The park is home to at least 53 mammals, including wild elephants, the famous Bengal tiger, deers, rhinoceros and Gangetic dolphin. You will see a variety of wildlife and do several activities like a jungle safari, jungle walk, canoe ride and much more.

Day 01 – Arrival at the park and Tharu village
You will be picked up from Nepalgunj Airport transferred to your lodge. You can relax and have some lunch. In the afternoon you can go for a Tharu village tour to find out more about the Tharu culture and visit the crocodile breeding centre.
Day 02 – Jungle walk
You will leave after breakfast for a whole day jungle walk, with a packed lunch for on the way. You will look for tigers, rhinos and elephants and also go to the river to look for Gangetic dolphins and possibly for a swim. In the evening there will be a tharu dinner dance.
Day 03 – Jeep safari and cycling tour
After breakfast you will go on a jeep safari, to visit the areas of the park you haven’t reached during the jungle walk. You stop at viewpoints, drinking places and other spots to look for wildlife.
In the afternoon youcan cycle (with or without guide) past ricefields and small Tharu villages. The houses are made of limestone with colorful painting. Most villagers are completely self-sufficient with their own buffalos, goats and chicken.
Day 04 – Bird watching and departure
Early in the morning you can go for a bird watching walk or just wander around. After lunch you will be transferred back to the airport for your flight to Kathmandu.
